Hello!  We are JR and Julia Wessel from Nebraska.  We started camping almost 20 years ago with our 2 children to have more quality family time together. Our passion began simply enough, with a tent and a few sleeping bags and the desire to be closer to nature.  As time passed, we found that while we enjoyed our time camping, we felt that a small upgrade was necessary to improve our enjoyment of our new found hobby.  And as they say, the rest is history.  We have progressed through one pop-up and several fifth wheel RV's and learned along the way that there is always something that can and will go wrong at the least convenient time.  Our experience with dealerships and repairs has been a nightmare to say the least, with promises made and not kept. Couple that with poor communication about status and parts and the whole process made us frustrated and honestly, downright angry at times.  Because we are handy, we ended up completing many of our repairs ourselves and found that we enjoyed the independence and satisfaction it provided.  It definitely relieved the stress we felt when something did need attention!  We also found others who were dissatisfied with the process and lamented that there had to be a better way!  This conclusion planted a seed for our dream: to change our career paths and do something we enjoy while helping others. 

 

So....In March 2024, we made the leap. We sold our sticks and bricks, packed up our two fur babies, (Slinky & Boots), traveled to Athens, Texas to complete training at the NRVTA  and transitioned to full time RV life on the road.  As we prepare to travel the highways and byways of this beautiful country we call home, we have met some amazing people we now call friends. This is a wonderful by product of the decision we made and we are excited to follow their adventures along the way.
